All 2026 Rally events, including morning launches and Saturday evening’s Night Glow, take place at Prosser Airport.

Food
Grab a coffee while enjoying the sunrise launches, then return Saturday evening for Night Glow, where food and beverage vendors will be available throughout the event.
What to Wear & Expect
A few simple preparations can make your Rally experience more comfortable and enjoyable.
- Dress in layers. Early morning temperatures can feel surprisingly cool before sunrise, even on warm September days. Layers make it easy to stay comfortable as temperatures rise throughout the morning.
- Wear comfortable, closed-toe shoes. The event takes place on an active airport field with grass, gravel, and other uneven outdoor surfaces. Shoes that can handle a little dust and walking are recommended.
- Arrive early. Give yourself time to park, find a viewing spot, and watch the balloons inflate. Seeing the field come to life before launch is part of the experience.
- Be prepared for changing conditions. Balloon activities are weather dependent, and launch decisions are made with safety as the top priority. Wind and weather can affect schedules and flight plans.
- Use low light respectfully. If you’re taking photos before sunrise, avoid bright flash photography around balloons and pilots. Preserving night vision is important during launch preparations.
- Respect designated event areas. Balloons, vehicles, and equipment require space to operate safely. Please follow volunteer directions and remain clear of active launch and inflation areas.
- Bring your camera. Sunrise launches and colorful balloons provide incredible photo opportunities, especially during the golden light of early morning.
- Coffee will be available. Enjoy a warm drink while taking in the sights and sounds of the field as the day begins.
Most importantly, take your time, explore the field, ask questions, and enjoy a uniquely Prosser experience as the balloons prepare to take flight.

Weather & launch decisions
A beautiful forecast is not a flight guarantee
Balloons need safe wind, visibility, and field conditions. The most relevant decision is the one made by pilots and officials at the field. Weather decisions will be posted here first once the official 2026 workflow is confirmed.
