Hot air balloons fly during the calmest parts of the day, typically around sunrise and sunset, when conditions are safest for flight. Weather, wind, and other atmospheric conditions are carefully evaluated before every launch.

Arrive early
Give yourself plenty of time to park, find a viewing spot, and watch pilots and crews prepare for flight.
Dress in layers
Early mornings can be cool, even during warm weather. Dressing in layers allows you to stay comfortable as temperatures change throughout the morning.

All balloon activities are weather dependent. Sunrise Launch and Night Glow decisions are made onsite based on current conditions and safety requirements.
